The award is one of a suite of FSSC accreditation and recognition schemes designed to show where firms, training providers and individual trainers have achieved excellence in training. Training providers applying for accreditation undertake a self-audit to gather evidence, followed by an external audit, conducted by independent auditors appointed by the FSSC. Successful applicants receive an Accreditation Award lasting three years, after which the provider will need to be re-licensed. FSSC chief executive Teresa Sayers said: "We are delighted to award FSSC Accreditation to FTC Kaplan. We were impressed by their commitment to achieving accreditation and to continuing growth and improvement for their trainees beyond the life of the training programme. "Employers can be confident that accredited providers meet a recognised industry standard and will deliver tangible benefits to their business." Peter Houillon, chief executive of FTC Kaplan said: "Recognition by the FSSC with their Accreditation of Training Excellence acknowledges the high standards of FTC Kaplan's training programmes and supports our expanding financial services training offerings. "This accreditation comes at a time of heightened awareness at all levels of government and industry of the importance of professional skills to our economy."
