Furniture retailer rolls out LCMS

UK furniture retailer Harveys is rolling out Cobent's e-learning solution, Cobent LCMS, across 170 of its stores.

Cobent LCMS will be pre-loaded with health & safety, sales, and induction learning content developed specifically for Harveys by Cobent. Harveys staff will access the learning materials through their EpoS system.

"We're really excited with the rollout for Harveys," said Howard Sears, Cobent's managing director. "In furniture retailing, staff have periods of downtime between customers. That's the ideal moment for personalised learning sessions delivered right where they work - on the sales floor. When a customer needs help, the staff member can switch back to serving, then pick up again where they left off."

"Cobent LCMS, is a great product in its own right. Having it delivering learning to the sales floor so our staff can respond instantly to customers' needs is where Cobent have really added value," said Steve Baker, Harveys' National Training Manager.

Harveys, which is owned by the Homestyle group of companies, is to integrate Cobent LCMS with their existing HR systems.
