Press Dispensary announces PR Copywriting course dates

Press release services company Press Dispensary has announced dates for its PR Copywriting course at locations around the UK.

Press Dispensary says the course covers all the basics of press release writing. Topics include: identifying company news, creating headlines and photo captions, avoiding jargon and marketing-speak, writing quotes for spokespeople, devising a house style, editing copy and editing for the web.

Jo Chipchase, Press Dispensary's editorial director, said: "Many of the skills imparted by the course are easy to learn and can significantly improve the quality of press releases and other company documents.

"It's a down to earth course which focuses on how to write sound copy while avoiding the common errors and oversights that can all too easily result in a press release being consigned to the bin."

The PR Copywriting course dates are as follows:

  • Brighton - April 11, 1-5pm
  • London - April 16, 1-5pm
  • Leeds - April 17, 1-5pm
  • Newcastle-upon-Tyne - April 18, 1-5pm
  • Manchester - April 19, 1-5pm
  • Birmingham - April 20, 1-5pm
  • Brighton - May 30, 1-5pm
