Sir Ranulph Fiennes to speak at mentoring conference
Explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE will be sharing his experiences at the East Mentoring Forum’s second Annual Conference on Tuesday 7th June at the Rowley Mile Racecourse, Newmarket.
The EMF say that Sir Ranulph will be using illustrations from his own experiences to show how the elements vital to success within an expedition - building a team with the right character and attitude; tolerance; understanding; planning skills; flexibility to meet and beat unexpected obstacles; goalsetting and performing under extreme pressure - are all equally important in less hazardous occupations.
Other speakers include David Clutterbuck, who will also announce the findings of a five year research project into mentoring, and Barney Tremblay.
The conference will include seminars and workshops on particular aspects of mentoring and an interactive role-play session with actors.
Vince Hagedorn, Executive Director of the East Mentoring Forum sees the conference as a major event for the mentoring community. "We now have over 1000 members from all walks of life and this is a great opportunity for them to celebrate the huge benefits that mentoring can achieve. The seminars will provide a chance for us to learn from each other and expand our knowledge of this fascinating subject."
The all-day event takes place from 9am on Tuesday 7th June 2005 at the Millennium Grandstand, Rowley Mile Racecourse, Newmarket, Suffolk, UK.
