Academee accredited as IMI approved centre
Management consultancy Academee has become an approved centre of the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI). The accreditation means that Academee can now deliver the Certificate and Diploma in Automotive Retail Management. This is a motor industry-specific qualification covering business planning, management and decision-making.
The Certificate and Diploma in Automotive Retail Management, one of the new Automotive Retail Management Standards (ARMS), has been developed by industry stakeholders in partnership with Automotive Skills, the sector skills council for the retail motor industry. The qualification is jointly awarded by the Chartered Management Institute and the IMI.
Academee will offer a blended programme incorporating a series of one-hour e-learning modules, face to face workshops, online assessments and coaching.
Sarah Sillars, Chief Executive of the IMI, said, "The introduction of ARMS is a massive boost to the future of the UK retail motor industry. In offering new professional qualifications, the career development opportunities will be more attractive to graduates, bringing better qualified people into the sector. For personnel within the business already, it's a chance to demonstrate management competence on a par with their peers in other industries. We are delighted that Academee has joined the growing list of specialist approved centres who will help deliver this new strategy."
