FSSC awards first training provider accreditation
The Financial Services Skills Council (FSSC) has awarded its Accreditation of Training Excellence for Training Providers to Searchlight Solutions, a provider of insurance training services.
Searchlight is the first training provider to achieve the accreditation since the launch of the scheme in May 2005.
Lucy Courtenay, FSSC standards & accreditation director, said: "We are delighted to award FSSC Accreditation to Searchlight Solutions and look forward to accrediting the other training providers currently going through the process.
"Employers can be confident that accredited providers meet a recognised industry standard and will deliver tangible benefits to their business."
Training providers applying for accreditation first undertake a self-audit to gather evidence. This is followed by an external audit conducted by independent auditors appointed by the FSSC.
Successful applicants receive an Accreditation Award lasting three years, after which the provider will need to be re-licensed. The FSSC says accredited providers will be listed on the FSSC website and will be able to use an FSSC Accreditation logo on company materials.
The Accreditation of Training Excellence for Training Providers is one of a suite of FSSC accreditations. Other current schemes are Accreditation of Training Excellence for Firms, which accredits firms that can show that their investment in training produces a solid business outcome, and the FSSC Recognised Trainer scheme, which recognises individual and in-house trainers.
