Inmarsat implements SumTotal LMS
Inmarsat, a supplier of global mobile satellite communications services, has implemented SumTotal’s learning management system (LMS) for both internal and external applications.
According to the Matchett Group, the SumTotal UK partner that implemented the system, the LMS is handling multiple modes of learning, including classroom instruction, computer-based tutorials and web conferencing. The system is being utilised by Inmarsat’s extended enterprise, which includes the company’s value-added resellers, in addition to the company’s sales and call centre staff.
Clayton Littlewood, Inmarsat head of training said: "Inmarsat’s internal team is responsible for all of the training for the company’s communications products and systems, including how to sell them.
"The LMS is really an extended enterprise solution, preparing those inside and outside of the organisation for faster, more effective product launches and better customer service. It will also add numerous other benefits including time and efficiency savings, and provide a more extensive service to our clients."
